How is this possible?

Advanced CustomVue™ laser vision correction combines three technology innovations for laser vision correction that enables customization for each individual eye. The three technologies that heighten accuracy of this treatment are:

WaveScan WaveFront™ System with Fourier Algorithms
Eyes are as unique as fingerprints. Advanced CustomVue assesses the distinct characteristics of each of your eyes using the WaveScan WaveFront System and VISX™ Technology’s algorithms. Thus capturing each eye’s imperfections with incredible accuracy (25 times more precisely than the methods used for glasses or contact lenses).

VISX Iris Registration
Your pupil normally shifts positions from the time an eye is measured to the time of treatment. Iris registration technology accounts for these changes for greater accuracy. This iris registration insures the best possible treatment by making sure the treatment is placed precicely where it should be. It does this by taking a picture of your eye and using this to align the laser beam.

VISX STAR S4 IR™ Excimer Laser System

The VISX STAR S4 IR Excimer Laser System is one of the most advanced Laser systems available. Integrating data collected by the WaveScan WaveFront System, the STAR S4 IR utilizes VISX Iris Registration and other exclusive VISX technologies to deliver advanced precision and enhanced safety.
