Dr. David Rootman, an experienced ophthalmologist practicing in Toronto, Ontario, maintains interests and hobbies apart from his profession.
When I'm not doing ophthalmology, I have many interests. I like computers. I like to work with computers. I like to deal with the technical aspects of my profession. For instance, I've developed a database program that we use here in our clinic to help keep track of all of our patients' outcomes and records. I'm also an avid cyclist, and in the past I liked to ski a lot, but I've sort of changed the focus of my outside interests more toward cycling and hiking.
